My goal as a German Shepherd breeder is to produce a beautiful West German Show type.

This is, in my opinion, the "real" German Shepherd.

 

My breeding animals are of sound mind, with steady, loving temperaments. I do my best to avoid reactive or high-strung animals. First and foremost, my dogs go as pets; they are show dogs second. While I do believe it is important for the breed standard to retain the working side, I do not, myself, participate in bite work. This is a personal choice and is nothing against those who do.

I have over thirty years of experience in dog breeding, so it's important to me to utilize health

testing. It's also important to me to understand how genetics work. While I am by no means an expert, I do keep up to date on most genetic studies and do my best to educate myself on inherited traits, including disease.

This is why I use multiple sources for evaluation, including genome testing. The more information I have on a trait, the better choices I can make.
